The Best News of All helps children remember the angel's announcement to the shepherds in Luke 2:10-11: "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."
The birth of Jesus is truly the best news of all. The angel's good news of the arrival of the Savior told to the shepherds long ago is still good news for us all today. It's the reason why we celebrate Christmas each year!
In The Best News of All, Sally Michael helps parents to instruct the mind and engage the heart of their children as they learn Scripture. Each page shows pictures and asks questions to engage them in understanding the verse. Repetition of the verse throughout the book helps children memorize the Bible verse after just a few readings. Also included are pointers for helping children memorize and suggestions for activities that will reinforce "Living by the Word."
"As important as it is to help our young children memorize key Scripture verses, it also makes a big difference if they are led to think deeply and clearly about what those verses mean! This new series of short and attractive books, Bible Verses to Remember, helps parents and Christian workers accomplish both goals. They focus on verses that express truths central to our Christian faith and the questions and narrative show what these verses mean and how important they are to our lives. What a gift to our children!"
Bruce A. Ware, Professor of Christian Theology, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

I enjoyed looking through this a lot. Another great find!
“The Best News of All” is a special picture book for children, explaining the birth of Jesus. I love the special way this book describes the night that Jesus Christ was born, and the significant meaning of His gift. Focusing on Luke 2:10b-11, but explained in a simple yet accurate way, children will understand what the best gift of the Christmas season really is. There are simple ways to remember the great news that are listed in the back of the book, such as singing, praying or memorizing the core verses of the story. This is a wonderful way to introduce preschoolers to the meaning of Christmas and to understand why Jesus is the best gift we’ll receive. #CoverLoverBookReview received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions are 100% mine.
In this latest installment of the Bible Verses to Remember series, Sally Michael presents the Christmas story from Luke 2 to younger children. I felt this was a great resource especially for my 3 year old to hear the repetition of Christ’s birth, the best news of all. The continual repetition is great for helping younger children remember what they are listening to. Each page reiterates the good news that we can rest in knowing God sent his son, and the ending has helpful tips for parents to further encourage leading young ones to trust in the best news of all! Thank you to New Growth Press for my copy.
