The Acrostic of God is a fun, memorable, and theologically rich introduction to who God is—designed especially for kids.
Through engaging rhymes and creative illustrations, this alphabet book introduces children to the titles and attributes of God from A to Z, helping them see his beauty and glory. Jonathan Gibson and Timothy Brindle use poetic rhythm and biblical truth to make deep concepts accessible and unforgettable for young readers.
Drawing on the biblical tradition of acrostic poetry found in books like Psalms and Lamentations, this book invites children not only to learn about God but to delight in him. With vivid illustrations by C. S. Fritz and a companion rap album and audiobook, The Acrostic of God makes theology both joyful and unforgettable for ages five to eleven.
"Whoever said solid theology is only for adults neither understands children nor theology! This wonderful series persuasively speaks deep truth to children and grown-ups in an imaginative, memorable way. It will revolutionize the way they learn the things that most matter in life."
William Edgar, Professor of Apologetics, Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia; jazz musician
"Biblical professor and parent, Jonny Gibson, and hip-hop artist and parent, Timothy Brindle, have crafted a readable and reliable series for basic Christian doctrines. We parents just might find ourselves discovering some new treasures along with our kids!"
Michael Horton, J. Gresham Machen Professor of Systematic Theology, Westminster Seminary, California

Nancy Guthrie, Author of What Every Child Should Know About Prayer
"The Acrostic of God is a treat to read. As a father of three, I can attest it is exactly the kind of book moms and dads will love to read with their children. Great theology, beautiful illustrations, all set to a fun and memorable cadence. I loved it!"
Bradley G. Green, Professor of Theological Studies, Union University, Jackson, TN; cofounder of Augustine School
"The Acrostic of God is a theologically rich, wonderfully creative, and highly flexible catechetical resource. Having used it with my own family, I can attest that it is fun to use, simple to memorize, and provides easy prompts for discussion. With this book, Gibson and Brindle have given us a real gift which stands in the catechetical tradition of the Christian church and shares the same aim: to exercise minds and incline hearts toward the knowledge and love of our triune God."
Mark Earngey, Head of Church History, Moore Theological College, Sydney
"With the need to instruct young children in the truth of God's Word never more urgent than it is today, this attractively produced primer, The Acrostic of God, provides an effective resource for parents and others; both engaging and soundly biblical."
Richard B. Gaffin Jr., Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology, Emeritus, Westminster Theological Seminary
"In The Acrostic of God, Gibson and Brindle provide a clear articulation of glorious truths about God in a simple, faithful, enjoyable, and memorable manner. This is a vital resource for every parent wishing to teach their children to think right thoughts about God and to set their hope in him."
Dave Ramsey, Director of The Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland
"The Acrostic of God is a fantastic resource for parents to teach their children the truth about who God is. The book is attractively illustrated and the rhyming verses and accompanying audio resource will help to impress these truths upon young hearts and minds. We will enjoy reading this book to our children to help them grow in the knowledge of God."
Andy Hambleton, Minister of Crumlin Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Northern Ireland
"Every Christian parent as well as pastors and leaders of Christ's Church are always in need of Biblically faithful and effective instruments to assist in communicating the Gospel clearly to the "lambs" in the flock. This volume fulfills that desire beyond expectation with its effective teaching style, as well as interest attracting presentation, while communicating the life-changing power of the Gospel and call to Christ allowing children 'to come unto Him.'"
Harry L. Reeder III, Pastor Teacher, Briarwood Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, Alabama

The Acrostic of God is a memorable read. Each page has a beautiful illustration, a short, rhyming paragraph about the attribute or characteristic of God, and a corresponding verse or two. This book isn’t quite what I was expecting, for a kids picture book. I have read a number of faith-based ABC books, but this one deals with really complex concepts, that you don’t really expect kids to even be aware of, and aren’t always the ‘standard ones’ you’d expect. But I think that’s okay, because kids can handle more than we give them credit for. And teaching them at least the concepts early means there is a good foundation to build on as they grow up. I believe this book will appeal especially to families who are following a classical educational style. Memorizing concepts and facts to build on for the future. Personally, my favorite page is O, for the omni-statements, simply defined, and practically applied, possibly better than I have ever heard.

Great tool to help my kids remember attributes and truths of our creator.
This book was terrific! The rhyming made everything fun, and the artwork was amazing. I also liked that they included the 10 Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and the Apostles' Creed at the end. Awesome book! Can't wait for the rest of the series!!! I'm looking forward to sharing this with the younger children and their parents that I know. Great work!!!!
The material and rhyming was fun and catchy. the attributes were beautiful and having them in alphabetical order will only assist in our children remembering them. The only critique I would offer is the attention span for most children is much shorter than this book. The passages need to shorter. the illustrations are lovely and engaging for most ages.
It’s very exciting to see the creativeness of these 2 Brothers, Jonathan & Timothy. I like how the book is filled with vibrant colors and how each letter has an Idea of God inserted into it. The rhyme scheme in each letter is Rowdy too.
