God protects and takes care of his people in amazing ways. He is powerful and good, and he always keeps his promises. Through the Bible stories in God Wins, children will hear about Joshua, David, Daniel's friends, and Esther. Even though these heroes were afraid, they obeyed God and were used to save God's people.
Author Jared Kennedy uses simple words and concepts to help toddlers and preschoolers understand that in any situation God always wins. The interactive questions in the stories help children understand that God still takes care of us today.
This beautifully illustrated board book for ages three to five is part of the Beginner's Gospel Story Book series. The preschool-friendly pictures in God Wins will also help teach about shapes, colors, and counting. Children will be captivated by the bright, modern illustrations and the simple encouraging content will help them trust God, no matter what.

"Some children's Bible storybooks can water down the gospel or turn to moralism. But God Wins by Jared Kennedy deftly engages children by keeping God at the center of each story. Kennedy helps kids understand key concepts and guides little ones in applying these truths in their own lives."
Jenny Marcelene, Christian writer helping families pursue God's glory across the street and around the globe

Author Jared Kennedy’s God Wins is a powerful faith-building book for little learners. No matter how hopeless a situation may seem, God Wins! The four Bible stories included show ‘walls, giants, and enemies’ falling as God protects His people. One of the stories included is the ever-popular David and Goliath, but the other three are lesser-known and are likely to introduce children to new Bible stories. These include the wall of Jericho, King Nebuchadnezzar, and Queen Esther. These are a few of God’s ‘against all odds’ victories that are sure to inspire children and are a great introduction to the Bible. Each story is only a few pages long, making it perfect for short attention spans. Trish Mahoney’s colorful and engaging illustrations are once again paired with Kennedy’s book. Her style is cute, kid-friendly, and always includes enough color and detail to hold the interest of young children.
I really liked the illustrations. I liked the Bible stories that were chosen to illustrate how God loves us. I liked that these stories were written so young children would understand them. I received a copy of this book from the publisher for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
This is a small collection of four bible stories, all showing how God strengthens ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances: the battle of Jericho, David and Goliath, four men in a furnace, and Queen Esther. Here at Little Readers Corner, we find the stories well pitched to a toddler and preschool audience. We also really appreciated the questions at the end of each section that lead readers back to Jesus and to the gospel. Our children enjoyed reading through this book and could easily understand the message of each story. The last three stories work together particularly well, as each “hero” of the story needs to face something that makes them afraid (a scary giant, standing up for what you believe in, and speaking the truth). These are all struggles that we continue to face today, and it is encouraging to read about heroes of faith who are strengthened by God to do the hard things we are also afraid to do. The illustrations are bright and vivid, quickly capturing the imagination of little readers. We did find that the book could use either an introduction or conclusion to help apply the theme of God wins to the lives of children - something that the cover illustration implies, but this is never made explicit in the book. This would help provide a clear framework for the stories, rather than abruptly beginning the battle of Jericho with the word “finally.” All four bible stories demonstrate that it is not through people’s strength or power that amazing things can be accomplished but that it is God working through them to bring salvation to the people of Israel. This is a beautiful message to be able to share with children.
