My soon really enjoyed the book. Is a good reminder for him that God is in control and He sends His angels to guard us. We really like it and have been reading it almost everyday.
Y'all I have been waiting to have this book in my hands, and you best believe I ripped the box open like a rabid animal when it was delivered __ I scored some major cool mom points with this one and was really impressed myself! Okay, so Angels on Your Side is a book from the much-loved Marty Machowski. The story is great and it comes with TWO PAIRS OF 3-D GLASSES! My kids thought this was so cool - this was their first 3-D book. The book is about Logan, who is a young boy sleeping over at his grandpa's house for the first time. There is a big, scary thunderstorm and Logan is not liking it at all. His Grandpa reassures him of God's protection and sovereignty by telling him 3 major stories from the Bible (references included!) in which God's angels appear. The first is from 2 Kings with Elisha and the Syrian army. The second is about the angels announcing Christ's birth to the shepherds. The last coincides with the gospel message and has to do with Christ's death and resurrection. First, Christ could have called to God for angels to save him from the cross, but it was the sovereign plan for Jesus to die to save all who believe. In the garden, before Christ is arrested, an angel comes to him to strengthen him (Luke 22:43) Finally, an angel rolls away the stone blocking the tomb. This book is so neat and I definitely recommend, especially for little boys - mine absolutely devoured it. Here are their thoughts: 8 year old: I liked that it was 3-D and really exciting! My favorite angel story was the first one with Elisha. This book is fun. 6 year old: I liked that it had angels in it, and it came with rockstar glasses! I really liked the story with Elisha too. The glasses are not good at all and its very difficult to read the story with them,. Very disappointed

Just got my book in the mail today and wow! The illustrations are so cool, the story is written really well, and reminds us that Gods angel armies are by our side. We don’t have to be afraid. And an unexpected cool feature is the book comes with 3D glasses! Epic illustration style, well written story, and 3D glasses, definitely worth checking this book out!

"Angels On Your Side" by Marty Machowski is a very inspiring book for children about the divine presence of Angels and their dramatic protection at God's explicit command. The graphic illustrations by Rommel Ruiz draws our rapt attention and captures our vivid imagination to make Logan's story spring to life in a most awesome way. The turbulent storm and Grandpa's calming presence, coupled with his expert storytelling skill, add to the solemn ambience of the atmosphere. This book reminds us of the glorious fact that God controls all the storms of our lives and His angels watch over us all the time.
