This book is my go-to for establishing key discipleship principles like source-level idols, how we are a story-formed people, forgiveness and conflict resolution, all with the gospel at the center. Highly, highly recommend.
This is a Bible study guide for small groups with nine lessons. It was written to help the author’s churches grow in the Gospel. Its purpose is to promote transformational conversations among groups of mature Christians, new Christians, and non-Christians. It requires no extra work outside of the group setting. A Gospel overview is presented—excellent for new and non-Christians. Each lesson has an article to read together (three or four pages) and an exercise with application questions to discuss together. There are many topics that all Christians need to revisit many times, such as forgiveness, conflict resolution, missions and service. I enjoyed this Bible Study and I know it will get used in our church library. It is appropriate for ages sixteen and up.
I had the opportunity to read through Gospel-Centered Life, before recommending it to my church for Family Groups, and it was an amazing read! It is rich with doctrine and theological application. If you are starting a small group, have someone struggling with their faith, or just looking for an encouraging read this is the book for you.
