Thornton strategically teaches kids about Bible truths, debunks myths, answers common and uncommon questions all while weaving cool historical and biblical facts with a long string of humor. This is a book I would have appreciated reading as a young teenager. Oftentimes the questions I asked were met with unsatisfying answers that only scratched the surface of my curiosity and left me wanting more. This book will not only satisfy the inquisitive teenager’s laundry list of questions but it may also strengthen his(her) faith in God. The Radical Book for Kids is a a necessary book for this generation. It is an excellent resource for local church assemblies, house churches, Christian schools, and homeschoolers alike. We love the Really Radical Book for Kids! This book feels like it was written for my 7.5 year old. He chooses to read it on his own and is eager to read it together. I’ve honestly almost had to take it away from him a few times because he won’t stop reading it when we have things to do and places to go! Champ Thornton definitely gets kids. He communicates theology and timeless truths in a way that is engaging and leaves them wanting more. In this book you’ll get a lot of Gospel and also science, history, archeology, crafts, jokes, and so much more! It lives up to the subtitle “more truth, more fun” and is as good or possibly even better than The Radical Book, which we also love! As a parent, you will enjoy this book. While nothing is better than watching your child’s face light up in wonder as they explore God’s world through this book, you will find the content interesting and will learn quite a bit yourself! More importantly, it will speak to your heart as well as to your child’s.
