Since 2006 New Growth Press (NGP) has provided churches, families, and individuals with life-changing books, small group resources, and minibooks that are grounded in scriptural truth and the gospel of grace. We strive to proclaim truth, mercy, and the transforming power of the gospel to a needy world. That’s why we offer a biblical-counseling approach to tough issues in relationships, marriage, and parenting; it’s why we publish discipleship materials for all ages and missional resources to equip the church. NGP produces resources that are theological robust, meet the needs of the Christian community, and point people all over the world to Christ.
NGP is also passionate about teaching the good news of the kingdom to the next generation and has created an exclusive line of children and family products for homes, churches, and schools. Each curriculum, family devotional, and book has Jesus as its foundation and focus. Children are drawn to the fun and colorful illustrations and appealing story lines that teach them the Bible and reach young hearts with the lasting truth of the gospel.
Reaching every church and home with gospel-centered resources that point to Jesus and help every person grow closer to Christ.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in the one true God – He is the all loving, all powerful, all knowing, Creator of all things, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us – It tells one story with Jesus as the hero. It’s THE story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration that is divinely inspired, true, and still speaks life today.
We believe that we are separated from God and naturally go our own way, not God’s way – We were created by God in his image to love and enjoy God forever, but Adam and Eve turned from God and went their own way. Everyone born since Adam and Eve has inherited their spiritual DNA – going our way, not God’s way. The Bible calls this sin, and sin always results in death and the judgment of being separated from God forever in hell.
We believe that God the Father sent his Son – Jesus – to save us – We can’t change ourselves or save ourselves. We need God to save us from sin and death. God came to our world in the person of Jesus – born to the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human. He lived a perfect life and took the judgment we deserve by dying in our place. God accepted his sacrifice, and Jesus was physically raised from the dead; he ascended into heaven and now rules as Savior and Lord, seated at the right hand of the Father.
We believe that the only way to God is through faith in Jesus – All who turn from their own way (repent of their sins) and turn toward Jesus and put their faith in him and his sacrifice on the cross are forgiven, made clean, given eternal life, and become God the Father’s children and Jesus’s brothers and sisters.
We believe that we are God’s children by grace alone, by faith alone – We are saved not by our own efforts, but by the grace of God in Jesus Christ.
We believe that God lives with his people through the gift of his Holy Spirit – The Spirit of God is given to God’s people when they turn to Jesus in faith. The Holy Spirit gives us a new heart, the desire to turn from our sin to do things God’s way, and a new purpose of honoring God in all that we do.
We believe in the unity of all believers in Jesus Christ – The church, which is the body of Christ, and is made up of people from every tribe and nation, is growing and making disciples throughout the world.
We believe that the grand purpose of God’s people is to share the gospel with the whole world – The good news that God sent his Son, Jesus, to take the penalty we deserve for our sins and that because of Jesus’s death and resurrection, death is defeated and eternal life is guaranteed to all who turn to Jesus in faith.
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ – That one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. He will welcome those with faith in him to eternal life in the new heavens and earth while those without faith will be separated from him forever.
