The God Made Me series features beautifully illustrated children’s books created to help guide parents and caretakers toward important, gospel-centered conversations with their kids. The back of each book contains a special section just for parents and caregivers that will guide them in how to have biblical, loving conversations with children and give them additional information and resources to equip them in talking about this important subject.
God Made Babies
Justin and Lindsey Holcomb tackle the tough question “Where do babies come from?” in a common sense, biblical way.
This common question all too often leaves parents perplexed about what to say and when to say it. When children ask “where do babies come from?,” they ask because they are curious about where THEY came from. The question is not about sex.
The Holcombs, along with illustrator Trish Mahoney, help parents start the conversation with their children about reproduction by giving them the basic tools to guide them—including specific biblical content and age-appropriate ways of talking to children at different stages. I found this after listening to Shai Linne’s children’s album. I am so excited about this series and the way I teaches Biblical truths that also respond to the culture right now. I love how it values all people has made in the image of God. I love that there is a book that helps teach about body safety, that there are a variety of authors and that it points back to our amazing Creator. I can’t wait to find more resources from this site, they look excellent.
