The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible

This is probably my favorite toddler Bible. I love that it incorporates opposites and colors and counting while telling an engaging story. I have read it over multiple times with my children. A few popular stories (such as Jonah and the Lions Den are not included). The devotional points at the end of the story are simple but stirring.

My only critique is that the writing seems to lose its quality and character for the last 10 chapters. I would highly suggest this still. No other toddler Bible has gotten close to its engaging quality.

An excellent story Bible for littles! Loved reading this with my 3y/o (and 7 month old haha). The length of each story is great for ~2-5 age range. We also have the Jesus storybook bible but found this to be better for the littles! Appreciate the discussion question and answer at the end of each story!

My son loved and requested this every night! He liked the pictures and questions. I liked the short 3 pages and solid biblical truth. 52 nights well spent.

Goodness, we love this book! My kids (2&4) adore it and get so excited asking me questions about the stories. I find myself weeping at bedtime all the time as I read the simple stories of Jesus. So good!

A great tool to use in introducing young children to the beauty of the gospel. The chapters are short (6 pages) and there is just the right amount of text on each page to keep kids interested. Ideal for family devotions.

Jared Kennedy masterfully tells the story of Jesus throughout the Bible and shows the importance of the gospel continually throughout. It's easy to read, clear, and a wonderful addition to the children story Bibles that exist.

Our Children's Ministry LOVES this Bible! The illustrations are beautiful and the stories are told in a way that is perfect for young children to understand. Our church also has a preschool and this is the chapel teacher's favorite Bible to use! Many of the children ask to read a story again and again, which is a high compliment, indeed! Thank you so much for this book, it truly is a blessing!

If you have children, I would wholeheartedly recommend this story Bible. We have tried several story Bibles and books with our 2 year old. Some he likes, and some he doesn’t. But from the very beginning, this has been his go-to book that he wants to read, and one that keeps his attention from start to finish. Its ability to capture the attention of children with its short stories and vivid artwork, connected to the fact that it is rich in its content and focus on the Gospel as the central storyline of the Bible makes this story Bible our first choice for teaching the truth of Scripture to our young children. If you haven’t found one that you love yet, I would recommend you give this one a shot. It is now my favorite children’s story Bible!

As a mom, I really enjoyed sharing the gospel with my daughter through this book. It was a delight to read and visually fun, she was engaged and asked questions. How great it is to have a variety of tools to enlighten our children in the Lord.

The illustrations throughout are bright and colorful. They have a smart, almost info-graphic design style, that not only brings the characters to life, but also illustrate preschool learning concepts you can incorporate into the story as you read like opposites, counting, ordering, etc.

Oh my goodness. This book is an absolute delight. The illustrations are so sweet and the bible stories are meaningful, and well told. I have been squirreling this book away to give to my sweet Elijah when he turns 4 next month but IÕve almost given it to him early several times. It is seriously the cutest thing IÕve seen in a long time, while still being uplifting and something kids of any age could learn from.

This is the perfect Story Bible for my 2 year old! It is exactly what the title says....Beginner. But just because itÕs a beginner Bible, doesnÕt mean that it strays from biblical teaching. There are lots of big, bright beautiful drawings that really capture the childrenÕs eyes. One thing that I noticed that was different from many other Story Bibles is that it does labels.

I absolutely love this darling story Bible and so does my 2 year old. I feel like it is the perfect introduction to the Bible for little ones, really breaking down some of the most important lessons in the Bible in a way that is enjoyable and educational for little ones. The playful illustrations are enough to engage even the youngest reader and I love how the stories are presented and explained. Well written and beautifully illustrated this book is an excellent collection to anyoneÕs personal library.

The wording is easy enough for a toddler to be able to comprehend the message of the Gospel. My 8 year old daughter reads this book to her 3 year old sister and they enjoy the beautiful message of hope found in Jesus that is easily understood. While this book is substantial in size and weight both my daughters are able to handle it with ease.

This book is wonderful...and is written in a simple, engaging style that even an older toddler can follow along with. Along with bright, friendly pictures to accompany each account, there is a simple question related to the story that even my 2.5 year old can generally answer. I would highly recommend this book to any family looking for a simple, engaging, gospel-centered book geared toward teaching their young children the truths of the Scriptures.

There is much to love about this delightfully interactive book with its visual appeal, engaging teaching elements, frequent questions, and amusing interjections. Most importantly, the entertaining aspects of this book are not an end in themselves but a means to communicating the character and work of God, especially the glorious truth of the Gospel. While the connection to the larger redemptive storyline wasnÕt always clearly demonstrated and the main point of the Biblical account wasnÕt always the focus of the authorÕs retelling, this story Bible was generally faithful to the text of the Bible and is a worthwhile addition to the libraries of those blessed with toddlers in their lives.

As a mom of 6, a childrenÕs ministry volunteer for most of my teen, college, & early married years, followed by 14 years (and counting) of vocational childrenÕs ministry, I have owned and read many childrenÕs devotionals. The BeginnerÕs Gospel Story Bible has just become my favorite story Bible for young childrenÐif I could give it more than 5 stars, I absolutely would do so. The illustrations are large, with a bright color palette. The stories are simple, yet full of clarity and truth. The stories present GodÕs Word, connect the points to our own lives, and then ask a question making it even more personal for our children. I have really enjoyed reading this to my 5 year old son and 3 year old daughters, and they do a fantastic job of sitting, listening, and grasping what we are reading!

The BeginnerÕs Gospel Story Bible is such a great way to introduce preschoolers to GodÕs story as a linear concept. The illustrations are positively gorgeous and adorable, all at once. Preschoolers will be drawn to the bright colors and not-too-busy illustrations. The stories are geared toward a childÕs short attention span but at the same time they are packed with truth. I really like the format of the highlighted main idea as well as a question that you can discuss with your preschooler.

This is a great, beautifully illustrated book that was perfect for my 6 and 4 year old. It held their attention, gave great bible lessons and opened up conversations between us. They were excited and intrigued as the stories came to life. This is a great gift for kids, grand kids, nephews, neices, etc. My boys loved this and look forward to reading it. It has been a great edition to our daily bible time.

ÔThe BeginnerÕs Gospel Story BibleÕ by Jared Kennedy is a beautifully illustrated book containing 26 ÒOld Testament: Promises MadeÓ and 26 ÒNew Testament: Promises KeptÓ. These are short, easily understandable stories that are true to Scripture. Each story ends with a question that will engage children in conversation about Christ and lead to applying Biblical principles to their lives. This is a great way to introduce children to GodÕs promises.

It is my goal to spend more time with my youngest reading GodÕs word than I did with the older two. Yes, I need to allow GodÕs grace and forgiveness for lost intentions. However, I still want my child to have a strong foundation of who God is before the world starts having an influence on him. Sitting with my youngest reading a complimentary copy of the book below, I have really been blessed to find a quality book that shares the gospel in a way that little ones can understand.

Oh man, I cannot say enough good things about The BeginnerÕs Gospel Story Bible by Jared Kennedy. Over the last four years, we have read and utilized many different Bible story books and many of those are still favorites of ours. However, this one just might top the list! First, the book itself is well made, thick and sturdy. If you have kids, you understand why that matters. The illustrations are incredible. Absolutely incredible. They arenÕt overdone and I think that helps the kids to focus on them more. The stories are numbered which we have enjoyed when we are switching off nights reading stories and I can just tell my husband we read story #11 last night, etc. The stories themselves are well told and shortened from the actual Bible stories. I feel like they donÕt mince words.

The illustrations are bright and eye catching. TheyÕre large and simple, yet lovely and pleasing to look at. I think for the average child, theyÕre great.
